like, really @duck , the best advice we can give you is, talk to them and figure stuff out. Come to some understanding, and an agreement besides. If you can't take this advice there's not much else to do here
https://ekmillerlab.mit.edu/2016/12/08/earl-miller-in-the-daily-mail-uk-why-multitasking-is-bad-for-your-brain/ It is true that Winter is not a neuroscientist, however Miller is. He claims that the brain has a certain capacity that cannot be overloaded, and describes multitasking as switching between tasks. Besides, Winter did not call you a liar. I am sure that she does believe that you feel you are experiencing this, and does not think you are being intentionally dishonest about this. She is simply trying to find a reason why you are experiencing this, even though it does not correlate with what science claims the brain is capable of. The explanation that she suggests is that your brain generates these memories that did not happen because you feel as if you should have these memories. So, please refrain from being hositle and acting like you were personally called a liar and insulted.(edited)
Why multitasking is BAD for your brain: Neuroscientist warns it wrecks productivity and causes mistakes Earl Miller has advised that people should avoid multitasking altogether Switching between ta…
Yes. This is correct. I absolutely believe, @Edou-Chan~, that you feel you experience everything. What I am saying is that this is very unlikely to be what the brain is literally doing.
If you could prove it wrong, I would love it. That's why I said I would look forward to a brain scan showing that your claim of actively daydreaming while the host simultaneously acts is unlikely to be the literal truth of what is happening.
It is multitasking for the brain to do this be doing two things at once. You even mentioned you were good at multitasking earlier, which I am unsure of why you would mention it if you do mot think it is multitasking.
Ah - brain scans showing that the brain is literally not multitasking aren't theories. A theory would be an explanation of why a brain isn't capable of it.
"for one thing, we as a system are good at multi tasking, im not making any kind of outrageous claims about being able to do 10 things at once like some meta-human so dont straw man me. im just saying i can go out back (in the wonderland) and do things if im not specifically being paid attention to"
I think i know what im experiencing, and i dont think theres definitive answers for what people do and dont in this community, and for anyone to state that they ultimately do isnt reasonable
...no. Dee. The central nervous system is certainly capable of doing things at once. When it comes to focused tasks that aren't muscle memory, the brain is not good at doing them simultaneously.
However, I think that if you were hooked up to a brain scan, it would demonstrate that your brain doesn't have some additional capability that the normal human brain doesn't.
Alright. I suppose this conversation will not be productive. You asked for a neuroscientist to back up our claims and I found one. If that is not good enough I suppose I am done.
...tch. Alright. I know that there have been tests demonstrating this fairly simple fact about the human brain, as Harleen then went and showed. Your claim is contrary to those tests, therefore I do think that your subjective experience is not representative of the literal reality of the situation.

This isn't uncommon, this isn't intended as an insult, or you being dishonest at all.
I would argue that it is difficult for someone to let go of a belief that they are tied so strongly to. I think that is what is happening here. I think you are rejecting fact because to you that means all of the memories you have are meaningless amd false. I understand that is scary.
